History and Etymology
The ability "Force Seppuku" is a reference to Seppuku, a form of Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment. Seppuku was originally reserved only for samurai. Part of the samurai honor code, seppuku was used voluntarily by samurai to die with honor rather than fall into the hands of their enemies or performed for other reasons that might bring shame to the individual. The process consists of plunging a short blade into the abdomen and moving the blade from left to right in a slicing motion.
When referring to the act in writing the appropriate term is "seppuku". When speaking about the act it is proper to use the term "harakiri".
