Mythology
A crucifix, a rosary or any other spiritual object with the likeness of Jesus is said to be a powerful deterrent for vampires. The power of the crucifix comes from the Christian religion and God's ability to combat and force out evil. Vampires are considered to be demonic agents. Sometimes, if the vampire does not believe in the power of the Christian faith, then the crucifix will have no power.
